Cat Friendly Practice

This clinic is a member of the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) and we have achieved their Silver standard. There are only a handful of clinics in the country that have been awarded this. For more information on what being a cat friendly clinic means please follow this link: Click here.

Cat feeding puzzles

New research is showing how the use of feeding puzzles is helping to reduce obesity and stress in pet cats. Simple changes to how you feed your cat help to occupy their minds and satisfy their play and hunting instincts, by spending more time “hunting” for their food they also tend to eat less in total and spend less time telling you they are desperately hungry (despite only just polishing off your latest offering). Stress and obesity are the root of many of the health problems we see in cats brought to us, and both play a major role in issues with the urinary tract and repeat episodes of cystitis (water infection). Please follow these links for more information on the research which has been conducted and ways to build this into your cat’s lives.

Fear Free Practice
